Dear Friends,
Just a short email this time. We pray you are well and thank you for praying and for supporting CFM. Things are in full swing here, with students fully involved every day in classes, worship and work around the site, training in different programs.
Students study carpentry as they repair desks and benches for their classrooms. Students learning metal work keep all our beds for 1,700 people in repair (Jos and Gwagwalada.)
Things are very calm after the presidential election two weeks ago, which is a big surprise to everyone. A known drug baron was “elected” and quickly congratulated around the word. The mood here is shock. No one is celebrating, not even the man’s own party or home state. They are worried about electoral evidence being released. People continue to peacefully pray, as they struggle with an acute cash shortage, due to an IMF dictate (CBDC). In all, a total disregard for human life. These dictators will fall. We continue to trust the Lord, as he has been faithful in every way in the past.
Students learn how to repair mobile phones, which helps people who own old phones which often need service. Graduates open vocational centres, as they open churches, make and sell shoes and clothes, as they teach others the skills.
Wurin Alheri’s Mara’s House for women. Students have built most of this, sponsored by VOM Netherlands and Canada. Getting ready to put the roof up. What a blessing this is to many women, already using the lower floor. They have wonderful testimonies. We are grateful to the Lord that no builder has been injured on the site over the years.
