Dear Friends,
A Unique Bible College
In the last week we have been evaluating CFM’s departments, whether any adjustments should be made into the future. We noted that the bible college is the only one of its kind we know of that enables those from the grassroots to be trained, and in such numbers. Otherwise, only the cream can afford it. Thank you for supporting this valuable work.
Today’s message: taking up your casket (update on the Roman cross) to follow Christ.
An Honour from Wellspring Club
For decades Ruth and I have admired the work of missions organisations in Nigeria. It has been a privilege to work in this nation together. Yesterday, we linked up with an annual mission conference in Abuja, under the umbrella of Wellspring Club, and Professor Georgina at Wurin Alheri from Jos University, as they inducted us into their Honor Wall.
Entering the Kingdom
The kingdom of God is not a geographical region. It is not of this world. It is the life of God transforming peoples and nations.
John the Baptist - Matthew 11:7-19
All prophecy about Christ and his kingdom begins its fulfilment in John’s ministry. Many see it and press their way in by faith to receive Christ’s gift.
But the generation in general is unmoved. One plays an instrument, no one dances. Another mourns and no one laments. They are hard to impress, unmoved, not perceiving what is happening. John fasts, they say he has a demon. Christ eats, they say he is a glutton. The kingdom passes them by unnoticed.
This sense of grasping the kingdom by both hands and not being indifferent fills Christ's teachings.
The one who gives up everything to be Christ's disciple.
The one who hates everything in comparison to Christ's gift.
The one who takes no thought for tomorrow to seek what God offers.
The one who sells everything to buy the treasure.
The one who gives up his reputation to do what God says.
The one who counts the cost before going into battle.
All these are faith actions to embrace Christ's free gift apostleship calling and eternal life.
Peacebuilding vs. Humanism
Jesus taught the early church peacebuilding, meaning to forgive and serve their enemies to show the light of the kingdom of God, to overcome bloodlust. But Jesus didn’t teach humanism, accommodating human values and the moral rot of society. We are for peace for the same reason we resist humanism: to enact God’s nurturing truth. It’s done by self-giving.
5th Generation Warfare
5GW: things aren’t as they seem. The enemy, in the natural, is globalism, entrenched in many nations, putting them at enmity: “divide and conquer,” while reducing the wealth and freedoms of the people. In recent years, elements within nations have been working behind the scenes to regain sovereignty, building trusting relationships abroad to overcome war, terrorism and central bank controls. Progress has been evident in many parts of Africa and Middle East. It’s also a spiritual battle. Many rely on the Lord to overcome the powers of death.
Crusades Over Nigeria and Surrounding Nations
Moving outreach support to the village.
Reaching out in the community.
Night programs.
Jesus First
Living with Jesus as an “add-on” can’t work. Serving him brings deep, wonderful and eternal reward, as well as struggle in this life. It’s worth enduring the tough times, for the endless joy and completeness we see in lives transformed and rescued, and will see in eternity.
Thank you for your prayer and financial support.
Blessings,
Kent, Ruth & CFM team.

Our Faith:
We believe in One creator God, who created all things. The incarnation of God in Christ, as redeemer, son and heir of creation. The death of Christ for our sins, his bodily resurrection on the third day and his current rule over the nations. God the Holy Spirit, the agent of salvation and restoration in the church of Jesus Christ. The resurrection of all humanity from the dead and the final judgement. Eternal life for those of faith and eternal destruction for the godless.
